ABSTRACT: This study examines the impact of lifelong learning policies on workforce readiness among vocational graduates, emphasizing the need for continuous education and skills development. The objectives were to (1) assess the implementation of lifelong learning policies in vocational education, (2) evaluate the impact of these policies on workforce readiness and employability, and (3) propose strategies to enhance lifelong learning initiatives in vocational training. A survey design was used to collect data from vocational educators, students, and industry employers. The sample size comprised 240 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to ensure a balanced representation of stakeholders. The case study was conducted in Oyo State, Nigeria, a region with a strong vocational education system. Findings indicated that while lifelong learning policies were recognized as important, their implementation was inconsistent. Effective lifelong learning initiatives improved workforce readiness by ensuring that graduates possessed up-to-date skills and knowledge. Recommendations included formalizing lifelong learning policies within vocational curricula, providing incentives for continuous education, and fostering partnerships with industries to offer ongoing training and development opportunities for vocational graduates.
